A database component compatible with windows sharepoint

Does it mean I cannot share an Access database online? This is the code which allows you to automate tasks and manage both data and interface objects. In Access, you have all three components for a relational database application, but it is ONLY viable in a Windows environment.

It does not have objects that can run in a browser. Both Access web databases, in the version of Access, and Access web apps, in the version of Access, were attempts to add interface objects that COULD run in a browser, connected to the data in the tables. And, of course, those tables would have been either SharePoint lists version or SQL Azure tables version which are accessible via the internet. Access tables in an accdb on your desktop are not.

So, when Microsoft abandoned those two efforts, that spelled the end of "webification of Access". All existing Access web databases and Access web apps were eventually deleted from MS servers.

I believe it is still possible to create Access web apps IF your organization has its own in-house SharePoint Server, and it is configured appropriately. However, for all practical purposes they are no more. On the other hand, the investment you've made in your Access relational database application can be leveraged, as Daniel describes.

However, it will remain a Windows-based application. It only takes a minute to sign up. Connect and share knowledge within a single location that is structured and easy to search.

I have two SharePoint Enterprise sites in two different farms. Both sites I am accessing with my local browser IE 10 bit. I have bit Office installed. This is quite strange! Any advice and suggestions what is wrong or missing?

Apparently, in my case, the issue was related to something in memory from one of my running Excel processes. I get this same issue from time to time, restarting my computer resolves it for me for months at a time. Not permanent solution, but worth a try while your looking for the solution.
