The software enables the computer to work as a terminal and make it easy for programmes to access data in a mainframe. Although it is designed for Windows, interacting with Linux servers is very easy. The software provides multiple drop-down tabs and therefore is a modular emulator. The user-friendly interface allows developers to manage various tasks efficiently. XShell is often known for its security and transparency as it leverages the MIT Kerberos authentication system.
As such, users should not worry about data loss. Moreover, the program has an automatic update feature that downloads and installs it when new updates are available.
Xshell is an ideal choice of a terminal emulator for both beginners and experts. Download XShell. ConsoleZ is an enhancement for Windows console that is not a shell akin to the above alternative terminal emulators.
As such, it does not execute many of the shell features such as syntax coding and command history. In simple terms, ConsoleZ is a better-looking front-end for the command. Moreover, there is no need to install as it will work along with the Windows command line.
Users can view multiple consoles side by side by splitting the console horizontally or vertically. While the inbuilt Windows console does not come with customization options, ConsolseZ acts as a perfect terminal emulator by making it more accessible and productive. Using ConsoleZ, programmers can modify the look by adding themes, tabs and many other visual tweaks to make the dull looking Windows Command Prompt more vibrant.
Download ConsoleZ. Console2 is one of the best terminal emulators and famous command prompt alternative for Windows. The program requires installations and is filled with lots of features that the original Windows command prompt lacks. Another additional feature is the Windows Powershell integrations, whereby users are not required to open a new window for Powershell exigencies.
The program offers a lot of configuration options, suiting needs of every programmer. It is a modern multi-protocol, multi-host terminal emulation runs on almost all versions of the Windows operating system.
The program uses a modern tabbed interface and provides access to multiple terminal-based applications simultaneously. The software has everything that a programmer needs to interact with hosts over SSL protocols. Its developers claim that the software significantly increases productivity by offering them a better emulation experience.
Hyper is another alternative terminal emulation that can be run on almost all versions of operating systems. Using Hyper, programmers can connect to multiple systems using SSH and dial-up modem.
I do not see the reason. Hi ralphbsz ralphbsz said:. But it is clear what happens: When running your program, it causes cua0 to be disconnected, and then immediately reconnect see below. Now, I agree with you: no idea why this happens, but it is clear that it does happen. Debugging the why is going to be interesting. I would start by making sure you are not using flaky cables and connectors, nor cables that are too small.
I've seen lots of weird USB problems, which are caused by bad connections, in particular on the power lines. Those chips are often cloned in China, usually badly. Cheap Chinese serial adapter clones cause all manners of funny results. What I do now is to throw any serial adaptor that doesn't work in the trash, and replace them with ones from reputable sources such as Adafruit.
This could be part of your problem, but it doesn't have to be. Some notes about this: 1 In the same laptop and same usb port with Linux works fine. You have added or changed something with sysctl or in sysctl.

From resizewin 1 : -z Do nothing unless the current kernel terminal size is zero. This is useful when run from a user's profile shell startup scripts: query- ing the window size is required for serial lines, but not when log- ging in over the network, as protocols like TELNET or SSH already handle the terminal size by themselves.

I really like the tinted background and minimal scrollbar but I've got scrolling wrong somehow because it's slow and it leaves speckles everywhere but I can't figure out how to use a better font. I just tried roxterm though and the default font is smooth and it scrolls fast but it doesn't have the tint or the nice scrollbar style. If you want to change fonts it has a GUI font selector which makes it easy and it has a zoom feature.
But then you've asked for gadgets like transparency. It's a good compromise of resource consumption and features, many of which I even don't care about.
As a bonus you get this excellent rxvt-unicode ArchWiki. No problem with scrolling here but do not use transparency.
Last edited by a moderator: Mar 6, I was a hardcore Konsole user in KDE 3. Tabbed browsing and the ability to split the screen and have 1 terminal typing into all the rest was awesome.
Unfortunately, Konsole in KDE 4. Split screen and grouping really comes in handy. Want to highlight URLs or any other text fragments and open them on middle-click? Enable the matcher extension. Want to be warned when pasting multiple lines? Enable the confirm-paste extension.
Trying roxterm and sakura they seem to look and behave alike but I'm told sakura is lighter. I like these two. They scroll and fast and no font problems.
