My best guess is that they would not scratch wood. That said, this tool does not have a beater bar and, therefore, it will not deep clean a carpet the way the regular Dyson vacuum will.
Since it does not have a rotating brush, it moves easily over carpet - and uses less energy than the standard head. It fact it has so much suction it's hard to manuver on my hardwood floors. I hope that helps, call us with any other questions. Banks Vacuum. It has a very low profile. I don'the think it would work on carpets very well, but it works great on my tile floors.
Love mine. Good product! I almost threw mine out. All the newer attachments I've ordered come with a universal adapter. Hope that helps! Upon closer inspection, there are small red sliding gates on each end allowing you to vacuum debris right up against baseboards, etc. You can see them in the picture barely.
It is my most used attachment for floors. The dyson hard floor tool is best for corners and under furniture on tile and wood floors. Don't know about the other. It come with an adaptor piece for different size hose.
I use it normally with the can and it fits perfectly. I also use it on my upright dcthe oldest model--and it works, but you will need a short connecting tube that has one end which will fit onto the wand of the upright or its hose. I know about this because I bought many of their other tools which come with this adapter tube.
Call Dyson to find out for sure. I'm confident that all their tools are adaptable to all their vacs. This one is great on hard floors, you won't regret buying it. It works best on hard surfaces, but you can use it on carpet too.
We use the tool on hard floors. The tool picks up the hair quite well, but some hair does attach to the felt strips on the bottom of the tool. With the Dyson Flatout Head Tool, the strong suction is what works here. We recently had wool carpeting installed and the manufacturer indicated NOT to use a beater bar when vacuuming them.
We use the Dyson Flatout Head Tool on our wool carpets and it works very well. This tool is not intended for upholstery. The suction is very strong with this tool. It's my favorite. I use it with my 56 as it has no floor attachment. It then does not have enough power to pick up pebbles Hope this helps. Very easy to attach and really helps clean under hard to reach places, like under the bed.
This attachment connects to the Flatout Head on one end which is standard size and the other end connects to a smaller size hose.
For example, I purchased the Flatout Head to fit my Dyson Slim machine which required the alternative size attachment because the hose connection on the Slim is smaller.
We have a DC65 upright and a DC44 animal handheld and it fits both. It also comes with an adapter for the older Dyson's so it can be used on them. Such as our DC 14 upright. That hose is at least 15 feet long. Depends on the model you are using. Think it is a Dyson Bought a tool kit for this vacuum.
It contains a flexible hose attachment. Though the stick vacuum is about 3 or 4 feet tall, the flexible hose attachment looks to be about 2 feet.
However, the flexible hose attachment would not be stationary and would pose a problem as it wiggled under the Queen bed. Further, the attachments for my Dyson upright don't seem to fit the Dyson 35 stick. However, am delighted with both the Dyson stick and my upright. I've read that it works with the DC There is a reviewer that wrote he used it with a DC I have an older Dyson canister.
