The screen shot I posted of a Windows 7 guest running on an Ubuntu Windows 7 guests ran fine and in wide screen resolutions. When Ubuntu Then I upgraded to Ubuntu The same. I have tried VirtualBox 4.

However, though I uninstalled VirtualBox because I thought this was a common problem, I will re-install it since the replies I received indicate it's not. I won't give up so easily this time. And by the way, after re-installing VMware Player 7 and running my Windows 7 guest I still had freezing problems so I have a lot of incentive to get VirtualBox working. I've never had VMware Player problems before, have re-installed it and my guest numerous times, and tried it on Ubuntu From what I've seen on the VMware forums this is currently a significant problem affecting many users.

It should be something such as your name for your laptop. Just start typing the following code right there where the gray cursor is. I just tried a bunch of different numbers till I got the largest one that would fit.
After you type the code, press enter. You will see another line of text pop up that is exactly the same as the first line of text that was there when you opened Terminal. This means it worked! Now open VirtualBox and start your Windows virtual machine.
